Reaching Out to Our Neighbors:
Free Community Breakfasts: These are held on the 4th Saturday of each month. At 9:00am, guests may select foods to take home. From 9:30am - 10:30am, a hot breakfast is served.
Little Free Library: Take a book and leave a book from our library box in front of our church steps. You will find adult and children’s books.
Reaching Out to Others Locally and Around the World:
Holy Joe Coffee: We collect coins for coffee that is sent to military bases where chaplains and military personnel meet to visit, counsel, and relax.
Soup Kitchen: Volunteers prepare and serve meals to the homeless and hungry citizens.
Backpack Program: Multi-generational volunteers pack food in bags for children to take home for weekend nutrition.
Interfaith Resources: We help support this multi-faith community group that tends to medical, housing, and childcare needs of the community.
Garden Seeds: Seeds are gathered for use in community gardens.
Collect Glasses: Eyeglasses are donated to the Lion's Club for redistribution.
Food Bank Donations: Food is donated during our Christmas program for the community food banks.
Food Bank Sorting: Mayflower Church joins with other community members to help sort food donations for the Food Bank of Siouxland.
Prayer Chain: A prayer group prays for others in need or in times of joy.
UNICEF: Children trick-or-treat for UNICEF during Halloween.
SOUPER Bowl Sunday: We take a "noisy" offering in a soup pan during worship and share with local food banks.
Free Coat Tree: Coats are available for anyone who needs one in the fall, winter, and spring. They are found on a coat rack on the church front steps.
