Transitions Team Activities
The goal of the Transitions Team is to become involved in the community. We want to expand our communication with others, promote our core beliefs that value all people, and find new ways to have fun!
Nat’l Night Out
8/1/2023 - Mayflower joined the fun at Cook Park to celebrate our local community. There was food and different activities to enjoy while getting to know community members and neighbors.
Pride Festival
6/3/2023 - Mayflower members set up a table at the Pride Festival in downtown Sioux City. The festival offered food, activities, and lots of fun to show support for the LGBTQ community.
Pride Parade
6/1/2023 - Mayflower members and friends marched in the Pride Parade in downtown Sioux City. The parade was a way to show support for the freedom to live different lifestyles.
Faces of Siouxland
3/12/2023 - Mayflower joined in the fun at the Faces of Siouxland Multicultural Fair. The event was a celebration of our community’s diversity, something we value and cherish.
Family Fun Night
1/8/2023 - Mayflower participated in the Family Fun Night at Long Lines Rec. Center. The free event was a way for families to join with others in the community to have some fun!
Multicultural Fair
9/18/2022 - Mayflower members participated in this event at the Siouxland Convention Center to learn about and celebrate the diversity within our community.
Faith Fair
8/26/2022 - Mayflower members were at this event at Morningside University. Our goal was to share ways in which college students might connect to us through worship, study, service, and fellowship.
Block Party
7/9/2022 - Mayflower members participated in the Unity in the Community Block Party at Cook Park. It was an opportunity to connect with the local community and celebrate with games, food, and fun!
Pride Festival

Pride Parade
6/2/2022 - Mayflower members and friends marched in the Pride Parade organized by the Siouxland Pride Alliance. The parade was a celebration of acceptance and tolerance for the LGBTQ community.
Family Fun Night
1/7/2022 - Mayflower set up a table at this family-fun event at Longlines Rec. Center sponsored by the Neighborhood Network. There were games and activities for all ages. The goal was to have fun!
Holiday Parade
11/22/2021 - Representatives from Mayflower Church carried a banner and walked behind a brightly-decorated truck in the parade! The family-friendly event was a fun way to kickoff the many holiday events around Sioux City!
PrideFest 2021
9/18/2021 - Mayflower joined others in the community to celebrate and offer support for members of the LGBTQ community.
Natl. Night Out
8/3/2021 - In conjunction with the Sioux City Neighborhood Network, Mayflower joined with families at Cook Park. Our goal was to promote neighborhood relationships and to have fun with our friends!
Cruizin’ the Loop
6/19/2021 - Mayflower cruised the Morningside Loop with members of the Siouxland Pride Alliance to show support for the LGBTQ community.
