Reaching Out Locally and Around the World

Siouxland Food Bank Backpack Program: Multi-generational volunteers pack food in bags at the for children to take home for weekend nutrition.

Siouxland Soup Kitchen: Volunteers prepare and serve meals to the homeless and hungry citizens.

These are some of the other ways we reach out to others in our community:

  • Lion’s Club: Eyeglasses are donated for redistribution.

  • Ronald McDonald House: Pop tabs are collected and donated to this organization.

  • Siouxland Food Bank: Food is donated during our Christmas program for this organization.

  • Siouxland Food Bank: Mayflower joins with other community members to help sort food donations.

  • Warming Shelter: Snacks and other items are prepared and shared with guests.

  • Eric’s Closet: Needed items are given to Eric’s Closet at the Soup Kitchen. They are shared with others.

  • UNICEF: Children trick-or-treat for UNICEF during Halloween.

  • SOUPER Bowl Sunday: We take a "noisy" offering in a soup pan during worship and share with local food banks.

  • SHP Egg Tree Donations: We donate items for Sleep in Heavenly Peace so they can build beds for children.
